How to order Xentry Diagnostics EU or Xentry Pass Thru EU (initial order)
|Step 1:||Click the access link "Diagnosis for Standard PCs and Accessories" to go to the > TechInfo-Shop.|
|Step 2:||If you do not yet have a user account for the TechInfo-Shop, please first fill out the registration form that can be accessed from the TechInfo-Shop home page. After your registration application has been checked and verified, you will receive your user ID by e-mail. If necessary, you can always retrieve your password to the TechInfo-Shop under the heading "Forgotten your password?".
|Step 3:||On the TechInfo-Shop site, go to "Products > Diagnosis for Standard PCs"|
|Step 4:||To order an Xentry Diagnostics EU Starter Kit (initial order) go to the "Xentry Diagnostics EU" menu and click the "Starter Kit" menu item. When ordering Xentry Pass Thru EU for the first time, go to the "Xentry Pass Thru EU" menu and click the "Initial Order" menu item.|
|Step 5:||The dialog for configuring the product you have selected will now be displayed. Check and verify the correctness of the detailed information on the product or correct/complete the configuration as needed. Choose a language version and a plug type. Then add the LAN ID and the HW ID. The default order quantity of "1" cannot be changed.|
To be able to use Xentry Diagnostics EU or Xentry Pass Thru EU, you will need both an Xentry DAS StartKey and an Xentry Diagnostics StartKey. To order these StartKeys, please indicate the LAN ID and the HW ID of the computer on which the StartKeys will be installed. If you have any questions about the LAN ID or the HW ID, please click the "Info" button to get more information.
If you have not yet installed the StartKey Manager or the StartKey Online Test Tool on the computer on which you intend to install one of the Xentry versions or are not sure whether the StartKey Manager or the StartKey Online Test Tool has been installed, download the StartKey Online Test Tool now from the Info window (by clicking the buttons next to the HW ID and LAN ID entry fields). Save this installation file locally. Now go to the location where you downloaded the StartKey Online Test Tool installation file (ALT+TAB / launch Windows Explorer) and install the StartKey Online Test Tool. Do not exit the TechInfo-Shop while doing so.
|Step 7:||Now, without yet completing the purchase in the TechInfo-Shop or closing your browser, launch the StartKey Online Test Tool (menu path: "Windows Start > All Programs > Mercedes-Benz > StartKey Online Test".|
|Step 8:||After the StartKey Manager is displayed, select the "DAS" application in the upper left section and copy or write down the character string in the "LAN ID" field. Then select the "XENTRY Diagnostics" application and copy or write down the character string in the "HW ID" field.|
|Step 9:||Now switch back to the browser displaying the TechInfo-Shop. Once there, go to the configuration page for the product concerned and enter the character string from the LAN ID field in the StartKey Online Test Tool into the LAN ID field there. Similarly, enter the character string from the HW ID field in the StartKey Online Test Tool into the HW ID field on the configuration page.|
|Step 10:||After entering all this configuration data, click the "> Add to Shopping Cart" button.|
|Step 11:||If you want to, you can now purchase additional articles in the TechInfo-Shop. If you are through, simply click the "> Continue" button.|
|Step 12:||Follow the next steps in the order process as they are displayed. Be sure to confirm the correctness of the billing address. If necessary, add a different delivery address for this order. Then enter your credit card information. Check and verify all the information that you have entered and correct it, if necessary.|
|Step 13:||Then confirm your acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions and applicable notes. Finally, click the "> Submit Order" button.|
|Step 14:||After placing your order, you will soon receive an order confirmation by e-mail. Your Xentry Diagnostics EU starter kit or your first Xentry Pass Thru EU DVD set will be sent out immediately upon completion of the internal order processing steps.|
